Mapping CT

I have wanted to get a tattoo for decades. I’ve gotten close to doing it several times over the years. Pretty ironic that it took getting cancer for it to happen.

Very long appointment, undergoing a CT to pinpoint the precise location of the tumor and surrounding areas that will be targeted with radiation. They also have to determine the exact position you should be in on the table for each treatment. Hence the tattoos.

Two little dots. One on each hip. Each morning, before sending me into the tube, they point laser beams at my little dots to get me lined up correctly.

I was never interested in a tattoo that was under my clothing, but I think I’m going to have to turn these things into something of my own design when this is all over.
